Psychotherapist. Trauma Specialist. Faith-Integrated Healer.

Hi, I’m Dr. Tasheka Cox  licensed psychotherapist, mental wellness coach, speaker, author, clinical supervisor, and consultant. I am dedicated to helping women reclaim peace, purpose, and power. I’m also someone who genuinely loves life and cares deeply about walking with others through their healing and transformation journey.


Known as the mindful powerhouse for women who carry it all, I specialize in helping women heal from wounds their minds carry so they can live with peace, purpose, and alignment in every part of their life. 


Whether through therapy, coaching, or soulful strategy, I bring clarity, compassion, and calm to life’s chaos. I'm passionate about helping women breathe, believe, and begin again.


I’m a proud graduate of North Carolina Central University, University of Connecticut, and Argosy University. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a master’s in Social Work, and a doctorate in Counseling Psychology.


In my therapeutic work, I lead with empathy, authenticity, and heart. I know how hard it can be to ask for help, so I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you are fully seen, deeply heard, and genuinely supported. 


My approach is integrative. I utilize:


  • CBT for thought patterns
     
  • ACT for acceptance and values-based living
     
  • Mindfulness for grounding the nervous system
     
  • EMDR for healing past trauma
     
  • IFS for healing internal wounds and protective parts
     
  • Faith & spiritual integration for those who desire it
     

Every woman’s journey is unique. Your healing plan will be too.


Outside the therapy room, I’m a wife, a mother of two amazing children, and a joyful dog mom. I’m happiest near the ocean, traveling the world, reading a good book, meditating, solving crossword puzzles, or dancing around my kitchen. I love to move whether I’m running, walking, biking, playing tennis, or simply soaking in the sun. It’s how I stay energized, grounded, and connected to myself.


This work is not just what I do, it’s part of who I am. It is truly my honor to walk alongside you as you heal, grow, and rediscover your God-given worth.
